ViaWest Expansion & Campus Phase 1 & 2
OEG procured IEM Switchgear in a short time frame and installed to meet customer demands. OEG also modified existing energized Cutler Hammer switchgear to meet project requirements. Modifications included 2 new 800 amp draw out breakers and transfer switch controls. PGE DSG Controls were also modified as part of the project. Installation of branch breakers in energized 1,200 amp switchboard was successfully completed with zero downtime to customer. The existing UPS was also increased in size and conductors modified to meet project specifications. All work was performed while UPS was operational.
OEG also installed 3,000 amp double ended dispatchable switchgear and associated downstream gear in a small footprint electrical room. Extensive deep excavation in the interior of the building was required. OEG is also installing a 2M and 2.5M generators with generator connection cabinets. The switchgear is PGE dispatchable with all controls needed for operation included. Close coordination with gear manufacturer, control manufacturer and local utility was required. All switchgear is 100k AIC rated.
