OEG, founded in 1947, is one of the largest electrical contracting companies in the Northwest, thanks to our vast project experience and our portfolio of successful projects. We specialize in mission critical, health care, commercial, high tech, industrial and institutional markets.
Our Parent Company
OEG was purchased by MDU Construction Services Group in September 2001. The acquisition provided us with additional resources and financial strength.
MDU Construction Services Group is part of MDU Resources Group, a major natural resources company that provides value-added natural resource products and related services that are essential to energy and transportation infrastructure. The company has been traded on the New York Stock Exchange since 1948 (NYSE: MDU).
MDU Construction Services Group has locations in 18 states and is licensed to operate in 43 states. We work with our sister companies across the country to meet our clients’ needs, wherever they may be.
Our employees say working at OEG is like being part of a family. In the field and in the office, we work as a team to exceed our customers’ expectations every day.
Our customers say our employees are flexible, professional and committed. We believe those qualities are fostered through our company’s four critical success factors:
- Safety first. Provide an industry-leading safe and healthy work environment, and continuously improve operational performance.
- Customer satisfaction. Enhance total shareholder value by improving earnings and returns on invested capital while delivering the best construction value to our customers.
- Employee satisfaction. Attract, develop, appropriately train, reward and retain a superior workforce.
- Financial success. Dedicate ourselves to understanding and fulfilling our customers’ needs, becoming the preferred provider for services provided.
