PDX Airport Security Badging Office
As part of a project to provide a new access control system across the entire airport, a new Security Badging Office (SBO)/Lost & Found was designed to facilitate the re-badging of nearly 9,000 airport badge holders. The project relocated the existing SBO and a separate badging training room into a single facility, allowing for the oversight of computer-based training by transaction staff and leading to improved staff utilization. OEG’s scope included complete electrical, lighting & related controls, power, data, security & A/V, and fire alarm. BIM modeling was utilized for portions of the project including new network room and associated back bone. OEG also designed, furnished, and installed engineered seismic connections, calculation, and shop drawings for all equipment related to our electrical scope.
