The goal of this project was to remodel an older fab building to support new production equipment. This included demolition, seismic upgrades, and new mechanical and electrical systems. The total project value was in the $400 million dollar range and the majority of the work was accomplished in 10 months to support the owner’s aggressive construction schedule. OEG performed the majority of the electrical work and expended over 350,000 craft hours. The work included underground duct banks, medium voltage power systems, prefabricated switchgear building, demolition, 600V power distribution, cable tray, lighting, grounding, switchgear and panel board modifications, fire alarm, security, gas detection, and power monitoring.
