The Center for Health & Healing South includes two buildings adjacent to the existing OHSU building in Portland’s South Waterfront District. The buildings are connected to each other and the existing OHSU Center for Health & Healing building via a set of sky bridges. Block 29 is an ambulatory care building with 360,000 square feet of area, 60,000 square feet of which will be used for Knight Cancer Clinical Trials. The 12-story building will be built on top of an existing, below-grade parking garage; the 10-story Block 28 building is located on a site once used as surface parking. The program for the building includes one level of below-grade parking; retail and conference facilities on the ground floor; 4 levels of elevated parking; an elevated central utility plant; and 72,000 square feet of guest housing atop of the structure. The total area of the building will be 264,000 square feet.
