Electrical, technology, and acoustical design for a 370,000 square foot patient tower consisting of central sterile, underground parking, utility rooms, CVAD surgeries, general surgeries, and 5th floor patient rooms. The design also includes a central utility plant and 3.5 level parking garage. The Firstenburg Patient Tower represents the latest in healthcare advancements coupled with the most modern conveniences and comforting environments for patients and their families. The tower features space for 154 private patient rooms with bedside accommodations for family members. A cornerstone of the project is a new Heart and Vascular Center. It offers five new cardiac catheterization labs and two open-heart surgery suites. In addition, a new surgery floor features 13 new state-of-the-art operating rooms. The tower also has a central utility plant, underground parking, a dramatic glass-enclosed lobby area with informational kiosks, a café, and a health resource center.
