The new residence hall at the University of Oregon is an approximately 145,000 square foot living facility being constructed on campus. The project includes 500 plus beds including Resident Assistant rooms, two professional staff apartments, and a Resident Faculty apartment. Each room has a consistent layout that contains double units with an internal bathroom. Academic program space in the form of flexible learning commons will allow students to gather and study and is designed as part of the Open Space Development required by the University’s Campus Plan. The New Residence Hall is achieved for LEED Gold certification and other requirements as defined by the Oregon Model of Sustainable Development.
